Tomato Haiku Contest

Add a tomato twist to enter the Tomato Haiku Contest!

Submit entries by Thursday, August 6th at 12pm

Winners’ poems will be read aloud during Tomato Art Fest on Saturday, August 8th at 10:30am on the Contest Stage.

HAIKU /ˈhaɪ ku/ (noun)an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually five, seven, and five syllables respectively.

Submit a tomato-related haiku in classic 5-7-5 style. Snag some pretty sweet prizes.  

Winners are announced at Tomato Art Fest in person on Saturday August 8th.

This contest is free to enter and judges accept up to 5 entries per person.  This year’s categories are listed below- 

  • Heirlooms (ages 17+)

  • Greenhouse (ages 16 & under)

  • Funnies (humor)

  • Oddities (limerick, sonnet, freeform, anything under 200 words)
