2025 Festival Road Closure Information
Tomato Art Fest will be holding its Annual Festival on Friday, August 8th from 5:00 pm- 10:00 pm and Saturday August 9th, from 9:00 am-7:00 pm in the Five Points area.
The event features 3 stages, over 200 vendors, food, live entertainment and a push, pull, and/or wear parade. Come out and join us for all the Tomato fun both days. Entertainment stages run on Friday, August 8th in the Beyond the Edge Parking lot from 5 pm until 10 pm with sound checks taking place that afternoon between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. On Saturday, August 9th the stages will run from 9:00 am-7:00 pm, with sound checks between 8 am and 9 am.

This letter serves as a courtesy notice to inform you that on-street parking will be TEMPORARILY restricted in this area beginning Friday, August 8th, 2025 and reopening on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, beginning at 9 pm. Please plan to park your vehicle in an alternate location on the event date. Any vehicles left in No Parking areas, during times listed above, will be ticketed and towed at the owners’ expense.
Detour recommendations if you are traveling east/west is to use Shelby Ave or Main St/Gallatin Ave. If you are traveling north/south, use 10th St or 16th St. 10th St intersects with Main St. and Shelby Ave. 16th St intersects with Eastland Ave. and Shelby Ave.
Parking recommendations include street parking around the event site. We also highly encourage utilizing a rideshare service, walk, or ride your bike to the event.

East Nashville Tomato 5k Run Road Closure Information
Hosted by the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA
The Margaret Maddox Family YMCA is hosting its 19th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K Run for members and the community on Saturday, August 9 th , 2025.
We are expecting 2,000 runners that morning.
The following roads will be closed for the Tomato 5k starting at 5:00 am on August 9 th , 2025 and will reopen no later than 10:00 am on the same day:
- Northbound lanes of Gallatin Rd from 10 th Street to Calvin Ave
-Calvin Ave from Gallatin to 14 th Street *
-14 th Street from Calvin Ave to Fatherland Street *
-Fatherland Street from 14 th Street to S. 5 th Street *
-South 5 th Street from Fatherland to Woodland
-Woodland Street from S. 5 th Street to 10 th Street
*For the safety of those participating in the race, street parking will NOT be allowed on thesestreets from 5am until 9am on Saturday, August 9th th , 2025 – violators may be towed. We aresorry for any inconvenience this may create and thank you for your patience on keeping thiscommunity event safe for all involved.

The Kids Fun Run begins at 7:00 a.m. and the 5K race begins at 7:30 a.m. near East Park at the intersection of South 7 th Street and Woodland Street. The race starts on Woodland Street, heads up Gallatin Road, and weaves throughout the surrounding blocks. Please view the map on the back of this letter to see the race route. Police and race attendants will be facilitating the runners through the neighborhood. The race should end at approximately 8:30 a.m. We will be playing music from approximately 7:00 a.m.-9:00a.m. Please be aware that the police will shut down the major intersections during the race.
Alternate access around the community can be utilized on Main Street or Shelby Ave. We are sorry for anyinconvenience this may cause.
All proceeds from the race benefit the Margaret Maddox Family YMCA’s Annual Giving Campaign, whichprovides financial assistance for memberships and program fees to those in need. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
